Kellie Sponberg, President, is a member of the Greenbelt Management Committee, served on the Core Team during the Ember Alliance CWPP development, and is the CWPP Implementation Team Leader.

Sarah Chaney, Vice-President, is a member of the Greenbelt Management Committee where she leads the Education and Website team. She is originally from Fort Collins but lives in Ecuador, South America. She brings her passion for bugs and insect education to her volunteer roles and enjoys spending the summer camping on her property and hiking in Crystal Lakes with her family.

Rachel Ownbey, treasurer and GMC Co-chair, loves Crystal Lakes. She and her husband, Michael, purchased their cabin “Happy Place” in 2009 to spend time hiking and exploring with their son Devon, and to photograph the amazing wildlife and landscape. In 2018, they moved there full-time. Since then, she’s joined the GMC, the CWPP implementation team, and the CLOSC. Her goal is to be a steward of our community and raise awareness about increased fire danger, to open and mark trails, and to help find funding for greenbelt mitigation.

Carmel Mawle, Secretary, and co-chair of the Greenbelt Management Committee, is the Managing Editor of Panhandle Creek Press. Carmel is passionate about protecting our forest and wetlands in the hopes that they will remain for future generations.
